Each of the five Yummy Combs sizes are larger than the throat openings of the five different weight categories. This means dogs cannot swallow the entire treat in one gulp, teaching them to chew on their treats. A veterinary dentist actually volunteered to measure various dog throat openings and weights to help Yummy Combs with our safety efforts.

Not only are Yummy Combs wide and flat to deter obstructions, but our formula has a key ingredient to help make treat time safer. Slick’M, combined with the thin walls of the treat, makes the treat slippery when wettened with water, saliva, or digestive juices. This hastens the dissolution process and acts as a backup safety plan in the rare event a dog is able to swallow a chunk of the treat prematurely. Due to the advanced dissolving, the treat can either slide down to the stomach or be coughed up easier.
